Itinerary: Our tours commence at 9am and conclude at 5pm on each day, with pick up and drop off from accommodation or railway station of your choice. Sites explored and points of discussion:

Villers Bretonneux: Adelaide Cemetry: The Unknown Soldier, burials on the battlefield.
Victoria School Musee Franco-Australien, commemorations.
Australian National Memorial, Australian missing.
Le Hamel: Australian Corps Memorial Park, Monash, Americans and the 100 days.
Sailly-le-Sec: Australian 3rd divisional memorial, memorials.
Albert: Albert: Basilica, myths and memory.
La Boisselle: Lochnagar Crater & Glory Hole, mining – the underground war.

Lunch at a local tea room

ThiepvalPozieres: Australian 1st divisional memorial, Gibraltar Blockhouse, Windmill and Tank Memorial, tanks and Australians on the Somme.
Mouquet Farm: German defences.
Thiepval: Thiepval Memorial and Visitors Centre, the missing of the Somme.

AUSTRALIAN TOUR: DAY 2:

Beaumont Hamel: Newfoundland Memorial Park, day to day life in the trench.
Flers: Bulls Road and A.I.F Cemetery, cold and self-inflicted wounds.
Bapaume: Town Hall, mines and fossicking.

Mont St Quentin: Australian 2nd divisional memorial and preserved trenches, German occupation second world war.
Peronne: Historial – Museum of the Great War.
Peronne Communal Cemetery, VC winners.

Tincourt: Tincourt New British Cemetery, Gallipoli Veterans.
Montbrehain: The last fight.
Bellenglise: Australian 4th divisional memorial, breaking the Hindenburg Line.
Bellicourt: St Quentin canal tunnel,

Vimy Ridge: Canadian Memorial.
Fromelles: Pheasant Wood Cemetery, Cobbers Memorial, VC Corner, Battle of Fromelles.
Ploegsteert: Christmas Truce, football.
Messines: Messines Ridge, mine craters.
Hill 60: 1st Australian tunnelling division memorial, mining.
Menin Gate: The Last Post Ceremony**

**Please note, The Last Post takes place at 8pm every evening, and the tour would conclude at the end of the Ceremony. Dependant on your travel arrangements, we can still drop off at your accommodation or railway station. If you would like to participate in the Last Post Ceremony and lay a wreath, please advise us at the time of booking and we can make the necessary arrangements.
